I am a Postdoctoral Teaching and Learning Fellow with the Master of Data Science (MDS) program at the University of British Columbia. This year, I will be teaching courses on Python programming, supervised and unsupervised learning, and an introduction to neural networks.
I completed my PhD in Mathematics at UBC in 2024. If you are interested in my research in number theory, please see my Publications page.
Across science, industry and government we are collecting more data than ever before. Fundamental tools from data science and machine learning are also growing more accessible, making it easier to mine this data for insights, but also making it easier to draw false conlcusions and make costly mistakes based on bad science.
UBC’s MDS Program is designed to give students a solid foundation in the fundamentals of data science, enabling them to generate reliable and reproducible insights from data and to understand the ethical implications of their work. To learn more, please visit the program website.
